For us, success required a winning combination of emotive storytelling, film craft and engaging characters. The first step was to develop illustrative story outlines and character profiles that we believed exemplified the tone and themes Yamaha were interested in showcasing. We provided six options and Yamaha chose their favourite three to begin the series. We engaged an experienced investigative journalist to seek out candidates that fit these profiles. Using their global connections, they scoured the earth to find several diverse options. We interviewed each one to assess the scope and achievability of their stories.
